Ever wondered what authentic Middle Eastern food would taste like, but have never found the right place to get it? Or have you ever wanted to try something new, but been took afraid to take the step and ordered it? Your prayers have been answered.
The Saint George 36th Annual Middle Eastern Food Festival is coming to Birmingham once again September 14th-16th. Come enjoy the festival atmosphere while tasting delicious food, listening to live entertainment, and catching up with old friends. Perfect for a weekend outing, the kids will love the variety and fun to be had all around. Crafts and cooking showings are also there for all to see!
The event is held at Saint George Melkite Catholic Church, near UAB at 425 16th Avenue South. The Food Fest will open at 10:30 a.m. and lasts through till 9 p.m.! From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the festival will be running a drive through service for those who do not have time to stop and join in the fun, but still want to get a taste of all that amazing food.
Delivery is available for lunch orders over $75, or for orders placed the day before the event before 5 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go toward a variety of different charities, including Three Hots and A Cot, Pathways of Birmingham, and Habitat for Humanity.
